Here at Eggleston Hall, we regularly welcome families and couples to our beautiful home for a special getaway which they will never forget. Whether you are looking for a relaxing break or an adventurous trip, we have the facilities here to suit anybody. In this blog we are going to be talking you through just some of the reasons for why Eggleston Hall is such a brilliant getaway option.
Accommodation
What better way to start than by mentioning the luxurious accommodation which you and your family would have the opportunity to enjoy during your stay here. When you visit Eggleston Hall, you can roam free through one of this region’s most cherished Grade II listed buildings. Every room in this impressive house has been designed with pure class. Whether it be the bedrooms or the bathrooms, round every new corner you will be amazed. Just imagine waking up in the morning and feeling like royalty as you take in your surroundings.
Gardens and Café
We are lucky enough to also have the amazing Eggleston Hall Gardens on our land. This walled garden specialises in rare and unusual species with an emphasis on hardy herbaceous stock, which thrive in the climate of the northern dales. The gardens are home to fruit trees and an alphabetical apple walk has recently been planted. Another fantastic location here is our Café & Tea Room. With it’s menu which is full of delicious meal options, you have an ideal place to eat every day of your stay, so that you never have to worry about lifting a finger when it comes to meals.
Local Area
As well as all that Eggleston Hall has to offer, the surrounding local area is full of reasons to visit. The sights of the beautiful Teesdale Countryside are alone enough to amaze you. You can enjoy Teesdale in all its glory by going on some of the many country walks on offer or taking advantage of the cycle routes across the moors. There are plenty of other spots to visit in the area including The Bowes Museum, Raby Castle, Auckland Castle, Beamish Open Air Museum, High Force Waterfall, Kynren and Durham Cathedral to name just a few!
